Lagodon rhomboides

LAGODON RHOMBOIDES = Lagodon rhomboides is a species of fish commonly known as the Pinfish. It belongs to the family Sparidae and is native to the western Atlantic Ocean, ranging from Massachusetts to southern Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. Pinfish are typically found in shallow waters such as seagrass beds and mangrove swamps and feed on a variety of small organisms such as crustaceans and mollusks. They are an important prey species for larger predators such as dolphins, sharks, and sea birds. Pinfish are also a popular target for recreational fishing and are used as bait for larger fish species.
